Unknown transaction on your account

If you see a transaction on your account that you do not recognise, first check our list of statement abbreviations and glossary to help you understand what the transaction may be.

Remember that payments for goods and services that you have purchased will sometimes bear a different company name; consider any recent purchases you have made for a similar amount.

You could also do an Internet search for the company concerned. This may identify them as being your local corner shop!

Have you given your card details to allow certain companies to take a regular sum or pay subscription fees? This is very common with Amazon Prime, for example. If this is the case, you need to contact them directly to cancel the subscription if you no longer require this service.

If you still do not recognise the transaction after considering all possible explanations, please contact us.
