Adding a beneficiary

If you need to make a transfer to a new beneficiary, you will need to add their bank details to your Ma Banque(1) app or online banking. 

If your transfer is urgent and needs to be made before the obligatory security delay (48 hours), we recommend you to download the Ma Banque app and activate SécuriPass(2) (free service). It will allow you to add a new beneficiary and make a transfer immediately.

How to add a new beneficiary in less than a minute:

  1. Log on with your account number (11 digits) and personal code (6 digits).
  2. Click on "Virement" at the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Click on "Gérer mes bénéficiaires SEPA" and "Ajouter un bénéficiaire".
  4. For security reasons, you will need to confirm your identity: Check if your mobile phone number is correct and click on "Valider".

If you have SécuriPass: Click on the notification received on your mobile phone and enter your 4-digit code.

If you don't have SécuriPass: Enter the code received by SMS. Click on "Valider" and "Suivant".

  1. Enter the beneficiary’s name and their IBAN number.
  2. Click on "Vérifier l'IBAN".

Take your time to check the IBAN number and the BIC code. Banks do not check whether the identity of the beneficiary matches the IBAN provided.

  1. Check the BIC code and click on "Valider".

And that’s it!

Your new beneficiary has been added and you can immediately make your transfer (or 48 hours later if you haven't used SécuriPass).

  1. Log on with your personal code (6 digits).
  2. Click on “Transfer” at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Click on “Add a beneficiary”.
  4. Enter the IBAN number.

Take your time to check the IBAN number and the BIC code. Banks do not check whether the identity of the beneficiary matches the IBAN provided.

  1. Enter the beneficiary's name and click on "Validate".
  2. For security reasons, you will need to confirm your identity.

If you have SécuriPass: Enter your 4-digit code (or use the biometrics or the Facial Recognition System of your smartphone) and click on "Validate".

If you don't have SécuriPass: Enter the code received by SMS. Click on "Validate".

And that’s it!

Your new beneficiary has been added and you can immediately make your transfer (or 48 hours later if you haven't used SécuriPass).
