Applying for a ‘Carte de sejour’?

Many of you have been contacting us regarding your application for a carte de sejour in France and the type of documents you need to provide.

  • Health documents: The only health document requirement at present is that you provide with your application the paper attestation that is provided with your Carte Vitale. The attestation is received from the social security (CPAM, RSI, MSA) before or with your card. If you do not have this document you should contact your local Social Security office or visit where you will find information in English(4).
  • Bank statements: These can be accessed and printed out via your French online banking.
