International bank transfers to credit your Britline account received in £ are totally free of charge(1).
i.e. 0% Fx Commission + NO handling fee + competitive exchange rate!
This offer applies only to bank to bank transfers received in £ from country within the European Economic Area. The offer is not applicable to crediting cheques on your account.
In order to fully benefit from this offer:
1. Contact your UK Bank requesting an international transfer. You will need to:
- Provide your full Iban and Swift (BIC Code) which you will find at the bottom of your latest Britline statement.
- Ask for the transfer to be sent in £ (to avoid an automatic conversion).
- Request that the transfer is sent using the “SHARED” charges option in order to avoid additional fees (2). Your UK bank may still apply charges at their end.
2. Upon receipt, we will convert the £ into € applying the daily commercial rate and credit your Britline account.
Although outgoing bank to bank transfers in £ (i.e. funds leaving your Britline account) do not qualify for this special offer, they continue to benefit from 0% FX commission with a flat handling fee(3).

(2) The charges applied by banks in the UK may vary. Some UK banks may send your transfer via a mediator/clearing bank to Britline. A third party charge may then apply. This charge is not applied by Credit Agricole Britline. Ask your UK bank if you are unsure of the charges applied by them before sending your transfer
(3) Handling fee of 18.26€ - plus 13.61€ if SPOT transfer requested - (fee applicable as at 01/01/2010).
